Maximianus. (286-305 AD). Silver argenteus (3.53 gm). Aquileia, Ca. 
300 AD. MAXIMIA—NVS AVG, head laureate right / XCVI / AQ in two 
lines within laurel wreath. The numeral XCVI on reverse means that 
this denomination was struck at a weight of 96 to the Roman pound, 
or ca. 3.4 gm. Our specimen is a little overweight! RIC 16b (R3). 
Cohen 697 (20 Fr.). Rare. Nearly mint state.
