Obv: IMP C M A VAL MAXENTIVS P F AVG, laureate head right Rev: GENIO POP ROM, Genius standing left, towered & loins draped, holding patera & cornucopiae, altar at foot left, PLC in ex. RIC Vol VI describes 256 of Lyons, rated Rare, as having a laureate, draped & cuirassed bust on the obverse, and Genius with a modius on head rather than towered, as on this item. It would appear to belong after No 259, of Constantine the Great, which has a towered Genius. Contributed by Steve Santore, March, 2007.
