Bust variant of BMCRE 143, pl. 83, 11 (same reverse die), Cohen 133, and RIC 209. Very rare reverse type. Green patina. Fine plus Ex Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, acquired in 1968 through the Theodora Wilbour Fund in Memory of Zoe Wilbour. This is one of the few historical reverse types of Macrinus' reign, commemorating his settlement with the Parthians about November 217 (Clay, art. cit., pp. 28-29).
