Lucilla, daughter of Marcus Aurelius and Faustina Junior, wife of Lucius
Verus, and sister of Commodus (who put her to death after she joined in a
failed plot against him). Sear 1485, RIC (Marcus Aurelius) 1761, AE As or
Dupondius (25mm)(Sear lists it as an As, and RIC lists it as a Dupondius),
F/VG. Obv. Bust right. REv. Salus standing left, feeding serpent arising
from altar. The coin is brown and green. Legends are almost totally worn.
The portrait shows fairly good detail. The reverse image of Salus is clear,
but with virtually no detail.
