dupondius (13.21 gm). Auxiliary mint in Thrace. IVLIA 
IMP T AVG F AVGVSTA, draped bust right, rows of locks in 
hair lead to high chignon at back / CERES AVGVST S C, 
Ceres standing left, holding wheat ears and torch. BMCRE 
255. CBN 266. Cohen 2. RIC 177. RPC 509. Extremely 
sensitive portrait of the young Augusta. Greenish-brown 
patina. Nearly extremely fine 

The letter forms, particularly the long serifs, show 
that this coin belongs to the auxiliary mint for bronzes 
in Thrace, possibly situated at Perinthus.
