            Silver quinarius (1.31 gm). Rome, 220-221 AD. IVLIA MAESA AVG, bust 
            draped right / SAECVLI FELICITAS, Felicitas standing left, 
            sacrificing from patera in right hand over lighted altar at feet, 
            and holding long caduceus in left hand; star in left field. BMCRE 
            83, pl. 86.12 (same dies). RIC 273. Cohen 46 (60 Fr.). King, 
            Quinarii, 16 (12 specimens). Very rare. Toned virtually mint state. 

            Ex de Guermantes Collection; ex Leu 86, 5 May 2003, lot 933; ex Leu 
            10, 29 May 1974, lot 275; ex Leu-MMAG, 3 November 1967, Niggeler, 
            Part 3, lot 1420; ex Naville II, 12 June 1922, Collignon, lot 1362. 

            This rare silver quinarius may come from just one pair of dies. The 
            eight other specimens known in casts or images to C. Clay are all 
            from the same die pair as ours: in BM, Vienna, Oxford, two in the 
            Subak Collection illustrated by King and three in Berk photofile and 
            CoinArchives.
