Julia Domna, AE as or dupondius, Rome mint, 194 AD. Obverse: IVLIA DOMNA AVG, bust of Julia, draped right, hair waved and coiled at back. Reverse: FECVNDITAS, Fecunditas seated right with child at breast; a second child standing before her, SC in exergue. RIC IV, 844, (AD 193-196), rare. Comment of Curtis Clay: "It's Cohen 43, erroneously giving AVGVSTA instead of AVG in the obverse legend. Cohen's first edition, no. 141, does NOT have this error. BM 494, pl. 21.4. This coin occurs as both dupondius (yellow metal) and As (red metal). Early 194." Contributed by Yuri Kabanov, January, 2006.
