Browsing Roman Imperial Coins of Jovinus


Jovinus (411-413 AD) was made emperor by Guntiarius, the leader of several barbarian tribes who controlled parts of Gaul and Germany. Ataulf, a rival barbarian leader, soon captured Jovinus and had him and his brother and co-Augustus Sebastianus executed.
