                              and draped bust right, seen from behind / PIETAS 
                              AVG, Mercury standing left, holding purse in right 
                              hand and caduceus in left. RIC IV 151a (Decius);

                              EF. Very rare issue as Augustus. ($1000)

                              This coin appears to have been overstruck on a 
                              denarius of Severus Alexander. Although only a 
                              faint C M is visible on the obverse, the reverse 
                              is easily identifiable as P M TR P II COS P P, 
                              Salus seated left feeding serpent (RIC 32 or RIC 
                              269).
