                   HADRIAN - SAUROMATES I GOLD STATER !

     Description: Bosporan King: Sauromates I with Hadrian 93-123 AD
     Year: 418(121/122 AD)
     Type: Gold Stater
     Weight: 7.73 grams
     Diameter: 19 mm -(I originally had the wrong size typed in here.
     This has now been corrected. Pardon my typo.)
     Obverse: Diademed and draped bust right
     Reverse: Laureate head of Hadrian right
     Reference: Frolova pg. 110: Anokin 411
     Grade: Near EF
     Comments: What appears to be a smile at first glance on the
     King's face on the obverse is actually a raised surface (not
     damage) and appears to be a moustache. This is a beautiful,
     problem-free coin. An outstanding addition to your collection of
     Ancient Gold!
     Guaranteed authentic for life.
