             Hadrian Bithyniae Sestertius

             Hadrian, AD 117-138. An extremely rare sestertius attributed
             as RIC 947c.

             Obv: bare head, draped bust right with the legend HADRIANVS
             AVG COS III PP.

             Rev: A towered Bithynia kneeling and holding a rudder in
             left hand being raised by a togate Hadrian. Legend is
             RESTITVTORI BITHYNIAE SC.

             An extremely rare example of one of Hadrian's travel pieces
             in aF condition. It's on a smallish flan with just barely
      discernable legends and decent devices. There is some
             smoothing in the reverse fields. Looks better in person.
