                                Description

     This silver Roman denar was minted in the second century A.D. The
     Emperor was P. Aelius Hadrianus ( Hadrian ), who ruled Rome
     between 117 and 138 A.D. This coin is very similar to the one
     listed in the Sear-book under number 1093 ( that is listed for 90
     English pounds ). Obverse: IMP. CAESAR TRAIAN. HADRIANVS AVG.
     Reverse: P. M. TR. P. COS. III. The diameter is 20 mm. I am
     starting the bidding at $65.00, because I can not afford to loose
     this coin for someone who doesn't recognize the value of it.
