            Gordian III. (238-244 AD). Silver antoninianus (4.41 gm). Antioch, 
            242-244 AD. IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, bust radiate, cuirassed 
            right / ORIENS AVG N, Sol standing left, raising right hand and 
            holding globe in left. Bland 80/4 (this coin). Not in RIC (cf. 213e) 
            or Cohen (cf. 167).Very rare with the N added to the reverse legend, 
            meaning “The Orient of Our Augustus” rather than merely “The 
            Emperor’s Orient.” Bland knew just this specimen and three others, 
            in BM, Madrid, and ANS (G. His gift), all from the same die pair. 
            Extremely fine.
