antoninianus. (VM38-39) Gordian III/Apollo
seated. silver. Grade:VF
'238-244 A.D.: Deep gray toning to a full
silvered surface. Nice features and details.
Following success against the Persian on the
Asian frontier the emperor was murdered by
supporters of Philip I, who succeeded him.
