                                 Silver Denarius

       Obverse: IMP.GORDIANVS PIVS FEL.AVG, His laureated and draped bust
                                     right.
            Reverse: P.M.TR.P.III COS.P.P, Gordian on horseback left
                   holding sceptre raising his his right hand.

                           Reference: Sear 2473 var.
                             Grade: Extremely Fine.

                                     Scarce
              Nice portrait. Good legible reverse. Large planchet.
                   Well centered. Strong strike. Grey toning.

       The scan accentuates a very light granular appearance which is only
                               a lack of luster.
