                        GORDIAN III: A.D. 238 - 244

  Gordian was born about A.D. 225 and was given the title of Caesar by the
   joint emperors Balbinus and Pupienus. He was proclaimed Augustus after
                  their murders by the Praetorian Guards.

                           Type Coin: AR Denarius
                                 Grade: VF+

         Obverse: IMP CAES M ANT GORDIANVS AVG, radiate bust right

                Reverse: AEQVITAS AVG, Equity standing left
