BTW--the first five coins in this section Gordian as Caesar are in RIC IV
part 2 while the coins of him as Augustus are in RIC IV part 3 starting with
RIC 1 as an Antoninianus called FIDES MILITVM (attached) Fides standing
front, head left, holding vertical standard in right hand and transverse
scepter in left hand.

Thus Part Two should be marked more clearly from Part 3 RIC IV.

RIC 1 thru 6 are the first issue series of Gordian's. What I learned reading
RIC is the officina of the ROME mint each issue one of the six. Thus
officina
Seconda did RIC 2 and so forth. ha ha. I never knew that.
