     Gordian III, as Caesar. 238 AD. AR Denarius (3.21 gm). M ANT
     GORDIANVS CAES, draped bust right / PIETAS AVGG, sacrificial
     implements. RIC IV 1; RSC 182. VF. 716302

     Ex Classical Numismatic Auctions XXI (26 June 1992), lot 397.

     In response to popular pressure shortly after their own elevation
     to imperial status, the emperors Balbinus and Pupienus adopted
     Gordian as Caesar. This scarce coin was part of a limited and
     formal coinage produced for Gordian.

     Authenticity unconditionally guaranteed - 14 day return privilege
