                   GETA, 209-212 A.D., Pautalia.AE21. EF

                        OBV: Bareheaded bust right;

                     REV: Seven Stars above Crescent.

                   RARE! Beautiful patina, high relief.

      GETA--Lucius Septimius Geta. Younger son of Severus. Joint ruler
      with his brother Caracalla (209-212). However, the desire on the
      part of Caracalla for supreme and sole power caused him to have
     Geta murdered, and all effigies, coins, and other permanent works
      with the image of Geta destroyed. Geta was 23 years of age when
                             he was murdered.
