Virtually mint state This solidus was probably struck during the brief reign of Placidia's second husband, Constantius III, who was named coemperor by Honorius, but not recognized by Theodosius II in the east. Production may have continued after Constantius' death, when Placidia remained an honored Augusta at the court of Honorius until she quarrelled with him and fled to Constantinople.
