Flavius Victor was the son of Magnus Maximus, who usurped power from Gratian in the west in 383 AD. Having been elevated to the rank of Augustus in 387 while still a small child, Flavius Victor was executed by Theodosius' general Arbogast after his father's unsuccessful campaign in Italy.
