Description This piece was minted in the name of Faustina Junior, who was the daughter of Antoninus Pius and wife of Marcus Aurelius, who ruled from 161-180 AD. She was married to Aurelius in 145 AD, and was given the title of Augusta on the birth of her first child in 146. She bore many children, one of whom was the future emperor Commodus. She accompanied Aurelius on his journey to the east in 175, and died at Halala, a village at the foot of the Taurus Mountains. The obverse of this piece depicts the draped bust of Faustina facing right, with legends FAVSTINA.AVG.PII.AVG.FIL. The reverse features Concord seated left on a low seat, holding flower and resting left elbow on cornucopiae set on globe below seat. The legend reads CONCORDIA. Coin grades F+, with bold devices and most legends clear. A nice example of the type, catalouged as RSC-54. All coins guaranteed genuine without limitations.
