                          Roman Silver Denarius of
                    Faustina II, Wife of Marcus Aurelius
                  c. 156-175 A.D. - RSC 15 - Venus Reverse

     Obverse: Draped bust right.
     FAVSTINA.AVGVSTA.

     Reverse: Venus standing left, holding Victory and resting left
     hand on shield set on helmet.
     AVGVSTI.PII.FIL.

     Reference: RSC 15. Grades About Fine for details, with some
     weakness on the obverse inscription. Nice smooth wear, a decent
     portrait for the grade, struck somewhat off-center on a smallish
     flan. It's not a mint state museum quality piece by any stretch
     of the imagination, but it definitely has some character to it.
