Faustina Senior, the wife of Antoninus Pius, who died in 141 AD, and was honored with an extensive series of commemorative coinage. The obverse of this piece depicts the draped bust of Faustina facing right, DIVA.FAVSTINA. The reverse features Aeternitas or Providentia or Urania standing front, head left, veil blown out around it, holding globe, left hand on veil. The legend reads AETERNITAS. Coin grades a nice AVF, with clear to bold devices and legall around, and a nice portrait. An attractive example of the type, RSC-32.
