            from Demeter and fleeing right. BMC-,Rose 27, Meshorer 120. Near 
            Very Fine/Very Fine. Dark green patina. 
              
            Rare and wonderful depiction of the Greek myth of Hades’ abduction 
            of Persephone, Demeter’s mourning in withholding her bounty from the 
            earth and the resulting compromise that restored Persephone to her 
            mother for part of the year; the origin story of the seasons.
