                                Description

     Silver denarius of the infamous Elagabalus (AD 218-222).
     According to ancient historians, he was about as vile and wicked
     as a person can get. Ah! How collectors do like to collect the
     “bad boys”. This particular coin is an excellent example of such
     an emperor. It grades aEF/VF. The obverse features a stunning
     portrait of Elagabalus, the reverse features Jupiter, the king of
     the gods, holding a thunderbolt and a sceptre with a standard to
     the side and an eagle at his feet (RSC 68). There is a small
     amount of flattend metal at Jupiter’s midsection that looks like
     he’s wearing a loincloth. This coin is guaranteed authentic and
     as described. Buyer pays $3.00 sh/ins in the US, others please
