                                Description

     Coin was minted during the reign of Elagabalus, who ruled from
     218-222 AD. Elagabalus was a priest of the sun-god Elagabalus,
     and this is the source of the name that this emperor is best
     known by today. His reign was notable for its cruelty, bloodshed,
     religious fanaticism, and excesses of every description, and
     there was general satisfaction when he was murdered on March 6,
     222. The obverse of this type depicts the laureate and draped
     bust of Elagabalus facing right, with legends
     IMP.ANTONINVS.PIVS.AVG. The reverse type features Abundantia
     standing half-left, emptying cornucopiae held in both arms across
     body, star in field right. The legends read ABVNDANTIA.AVG. Coin
     grades a nice AEF, with bold devices and legends all around, and
     lots of lustre still evident. A very nice example of the type,
     catalouged as RSC-1a. All coins guaranteed genuine without
     restrictions. Buyer pays postage/insurance, coin shipped on
