January 10, 2000 $26.00 Rome. Ancient. Crispus. AE3. -London. (VM23) Crispus/2 Victories. bronze. Grade:VF '316-326 A.D. Struck at London, Crispus. Pretty deep green patina. [L550049] Next Bid: $26.00 Note: This is not VanMeter 32 as originally described on wildwinds, because VanMeter's listings for Crispus ends at no. 28. From the altar design, obverse and reverse legends this must be a coin from Trier, not London, with the mintmark STR. However, the somewhat crude drapery and cuirass lines on the obverse points to it being a barb. I will keep this on wildwinds because it is unusual to see barbs of this reverse type for Crispus.
