                       Constantius II. Gold Solidus. VF+.

     An AV solidus of Constantius II (AD 337-361), struck at Antioch.

     References: Sear 3988 var.

     Condition: VF+, scratch on chest.

     Obv. FL.IVL. CONSTANTIVS PERP.AVG. Helmeted and cuirassed bust of
     Constantius facing, holding spear and shield showing horseman
     spearing fallen enemy.

     Rev. GLORIA REIPVBLICAE. Roma and Constantinopolis seated, holding
     shield inscribed VOT.XXX.MVLT.XXXX; in exergue, SMANH.
