I have to disagree with this assessment based on the placement of the pellet on this piece and the complete separation of it from the horse's mane. Since none of the pieces which may have exhibited the pellet from the analysis of the RIC authors are plated, I cannot compare this piece to any they observed. This coin is being attributed to 148 based on the descriptions in RIC, since there is no series with a pellet mark listed.
