Rome. Constantius I, as Caesar, 293-305 AD. Gold Aureus (5.38 
g), Antioch mint, struck 293 AD. Laureate head of Constantius 
I right. Reverse: Hercules standing facing, head to left, 
holding club with his right hand and the apples of the 
Hesperides in his left; HERCVLI CONS CAES, SMAS* in exergue. 
Fr-783; RIC 8; Biaggi 1830; Calicó 4833; C. 145; Depeyrot 9/4. 
Sharp and brilliantly lustrous. A superb piece, in high 
relief, with a very dignified portrait of Constantius. Rare. 
NGC graded Choice Uncirculated.
