        Cappadocia: Caesarea, Æ 28mm, 15.4 grams. Laureate bust of
[Image] Commodus, facing right. / A model of Mount Argaeus placed   [Image]
        on an altar. Sydenham 374var. Kayseri, located in modern
        day Turkey, was once occupied by the Hittites, and named
        Caesarea of Cappadocia by the Romans. Mt. Argaeus, once a
        volcano, had long inspired legends among ancient people as
        a dwelling place of the gods (the Persians built a
        Zoroastrian fire temple there).
