        Laureate head of Commodus, facing right. / Nike (Victoria),
        personifying victory, standing right on a globe, holding a
wreath and a palm branch. Sear/GIC 2039, Sydenham 373.

        Kayseri, located in modern day Turkey, was once occupied by
        the Hittites, and named Caesarea of Cappadocia by the
        Romans. Mt. Argaeus, once a volcano, had long inspired
        legends among ancient people as a dwelling place of the
        gods (the Persians built a Zoroastrian fire temple there).
