RIC (Claudius) 98; Vagi 493. VF / G, pitted. Nero Claudius Drusus was the brother of Tiberius, and an important general. He died from injuries sustained in a horse-riding accident. Considering his elder brother Tiberius became emperor, this unfortunate man would have played an important role in Roman politics almost half a century after his accidental death. One might even suspect that he would have succeed Tiberius in A.D. 37 to become the 3rd Caesar.
