AVT KAI M AVP - CE ANTÙÍÅÉÍÏ - C, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right / EÐI Ã KË MI - ÈPOV APX A around, [C]APÄIANÙN B NEÙKOPÙN in exergue, Caracalla, laureate and in military dress, standing left, holding spear under left arm, and raising wreath in right hand above cult statue of Kore, extended toward him by city-goddess with her right hand; city-goddess stands right, towered and veiled, and holds transverse scepter in left hand. The type appears to commemorate some honor granted to the cult of Kore at Smyrna by Caracalla during his sole reign. No coins of Smyrna naming the archon Mithros were known to B.
