                                Description

     Caligula, 37-41 A.D., bronze As, Vesta, aVF.

     Obverse:C CAESAR AVG GERMANICVS PON M TR POT bare head left.

     Reverse: VESTA Vesta seated left, holding patera, S C at sides.

     Sear 616.

     I'm posting two images, one in color, one in B&W in order to show
     the amount of detail left on this coin. In terms of color, it is
     a very very dark brown, almost black, with a hint of green. The
     scan picks up the roughness far more than is seen with the naked
     eye. To give you an idea of the detailing, you can see that there
     are a line of circles on the edge of the throne that Vesta is
     seated on. Outstanding!

     Buyer pays $3.00 insured postage, 2 week return period, checks
     (U.S. funds) must clear.
