Aurelian AE antonininianus, Mediolanum mint, 4th issue, 272-274 AD, 3.33 g. Obverse: IMP AVRELIANVS AVG, Radiate, cuirassed bust right. Reverse: VIRT MILIT-VM, Aurelian standing right on left, holding spear and globe, facing soldier to right, holding Victory and spear. Exergue: T. RIC 146, Cohen 261. Ebay auction 18.11.05; 4 bids; winning bid 12.03 USD. There is some controversy about who exactly those figures on the reverse are. The typical description says it's the emperor and a soldier, but Estiot has noted that the type is a holdover from the previous reign, when they are clearly meant to be Gallienus and Valerian.
