Fine, brown patina. One of only five known specimens, and the only one available privately! 716258 Ex Alex G. Malloy Auction XLIII (31 May 1996), lot 285. Although the reverse portrait has traditionally been attributed to Gaius Caesar, it is not certain, and lacking that, it becomes impossible to precisely date this little coin. There exist only four other specimens of this type, in Berlin (Staatliche Museen, Imhoof-Bloomer Collection), Cambridge (Fitzwilliam Museum), Oxford (Ashmolean Museum) and Vienna (Kunsthistorisches Museum), making this the only specimen available to collectors.
