CAESAR DIVI F C G I P Bare head right, dotted border. / M AGRIPPA Bare head
right, dotted border. RPC 2260; BMC 85. VF, porous dark patina. Better than
the RPC plate coin, from different dies. RPC places the date of this type
after 27 BC, though an earlier date seems plausible. If after 27 BC, the
name Octavian should be called Augustus.
