Laureate, draped bust of Antoninus Pius right / VERVS / E[T] FAVST[...], confronted busts of Marcus Aurelius on left, bare-headed and draped, and Faustina Jr. on right, diademed and draped. Cf. Cohen p. 413, 1. Extremely rare. Dark brown patina with lighter areas at the high points. Flan broken, apparently an ancient fracture. Good fine The legend reflects Marcus Aurelius’ birth name, Marcus Annius Verus.
