     ROME (ANTIOCH MINT) - ANTONINUS PIUS AS

     A striking portrait of Antoninus Pius (AD 138-161). Roman bronze
     coin, 27 mm diameter (as), struck at the Antioch mint. The letters
     "SC" (Senatus Consulto) indicate that this was intended to be Roman
     currency, though struck at a provincial mint. BMCGalatia 318. VF with
     green patina. 13.7 g.

     Obv. Laureate head of Antoninus Pius right.

     Rev. SC, Greek letter theta below, laurel wreath around.
