    Obv. Bare head right, Rev. Antoninus Pius wearing garb of a senator,
                               holding globe.

    Extremely High Relief in three dementions with tiny details such as
     face and hair on both obverse and reverse. Perfectly Centered. Of
    finely executed dies. RIC214. (7.4 gm.) Pedigree: Dr. Alfred Globus
Collection.

    ANTONINUS PIUS—Titus Aelius Hadrianus Antoninus. (Originally, before
    his adoption by Hadrian after the death of Aelius his name was Titus
      Aurelius Fulvus Boionius Arrius.) Emperor 138-161. He Enjoyed a
   peaceful and prosperous reign. Because of this, history has little to
     record of his rule. He adopted his nephew Marcus Aurelius whom his
         daughter Faustina had married. 75 years of age at death.
