Antinous, Favorite of Hadrian. Orichalcum medallion, 37-38 mm (57.17 gm). Phrygia, Ancyra. 
ANTINOOS QEOC, bare-headed, draped bust right 
IOUL CATORNINOC ANKVPA[NOIC], Men standing left, wearing 
Phrygian cap, crescent behind shoulders, holding anchor and sceptre.

Apparently unique in this size; Several minor pits on 
obverse and some isolated pitting on reverse. Extremely 
handsome portrait of Antinous. Obverse with a glossy olive patina. Good very fine/good fine.
