Lot of 3 copper tesserae or quadrantes with ship types. . Comprising 
(a) 17 mm, 2.79 gm, galley right with rudder at stern, no occupants 
or sail / large letter D. Cohen VIII, p. 272, 56 (Paris, 3 Fr.). (b) 
15 mm, 3.23 gm, spots of red copper show through. Similar to (a), 
but letter T on reverse. Cohen VIII, p. 272, 57 (Rollin, 3 Fr.). (c) 
15 mm, 2.89 gm, red copper shows through, galley left with rudder at 
stern, four oars over side, and sail tended by two crewmen / dolphin 
right, tail raised in S-shaped double curve. Cohen VIII, p. 272, 58 
corr. (Asselin, 6 Fr.; Cohen, apparently by mistake, says that the 
galley is traveling right rather than left). All rare. THREE COINS 
IN LOT. Fine plus.
