Hadrian is famed as the emperor who built Hadrian's Wall, the massive fortification erected across the northernmost British frontier of the empire to defend against marauding Scots and Picts. He is also known for his extensive travels throughout the empire. The obverse of this type depicts the laureate bust of Hadrian facing right, with legends IMP.CAESAR.TRAIAN.HADRIANVS.AVG. The reverse features Aequitas standing left, holding scales and cornucopiae, with legends P.M.TR.P.COS.III. Coin is a little off center on the reverse, but otherwise grades Good VF, with clear to bold devices where struck up, and an excellent portrait of Hadrian. A very attractive example of the type, catalouged as RSC-1119. All coins guaranteed genuine without limitations. Buyer pays postage/insurance, coin shipped on clearance of funds. PA residents please add appropriate sales tax. Visa/MC now accepted for purchases over $20. Member ANA, PAN.
