            Gordian III. (238-244 AD). Silver antoninianus (4.15 gm). Antioch, 
            238 AD. IMP CAES M ANT GORDIANVS AVG, bust radiate, draped, 
            cuirassed right / P M TRI P CON P P, Serapis standing left, modius 
            on head, raising right hand and holding transverse scepter in left. 
            Cf. Bland 32 (Izmir Museum, PON M TRI P CON P P). Cf. Cohen 191 
            (Rollin, 6 Fr.) = RIC 30 (wrongly under Rome; P M TR P II COS P P). 
            A very rare reverse type, with this exact reverse legend apparently 
            known only in this one specimen. Extremely fine.
