  C., bearded head right / COS. ITER. ET. TER. DESIG, tetrastyle temple of Divus
  Julius, containing his statue, DIVO IVL inscribed on architrave, star in pediment,

  32; RSC 90. Nice VF, light obverse porosity. Estimate $1000.



  Sear remarks that this issue was produced in preparation for the military expenses of
  the upcoming campaign against Sextus Pompey in Sicily. Also, this was the final issue
  with the bearded Octavian, as after the defeat of the Pompeians the Triumvir returned
  to being clean shaven, signifying that Ceasar's murder had been successfully avenged.
