 Octavian, AR denarius, (3.89g) 7:00 die axis, Spanish Mint, c.      
    31-29 BC, No legend. Bare head right. / IMP CAESAR DIVI F Spanish
    shield. RIC 543a (Eastern Mint). EF, banker's mark on obverse at
    3:00, attractive style, on a broad flan.

    An example on a broad flan, described as "scratch above head and
    flan crack on cheek, otherwise large and of medallic style. A very
    good very fine" brought $1540 as lot #5 in the 12/97 Augustus sale
    of Italo Vecchi. Despite the banker's mark, this is a much better
    example.
