Octavian, AR denarius, (3.60g) c. 30-29 BC, Rome Mint (?) Laureate head
right. / Statue of Octavian on top of rostral column decorated with ship's
prows, sterns and anchors, IMP CAE[SAR] at sides. RSC 124. F, banker's mark
on reverse. The rostral column celebrates the Victory of Octavian over the
combined forces of Antony and Cleopatra at Actium.
