     Mark and Lucius Antony. Summer 41 BC. AR Denarius (3.32 gm).
     Ephesus mint. M. ANT. IMP. AVG. IIIVIR. R. P C M. NERVA PRO Q. P,
     bare head of Mark Antony right / L. ANTONIVS COS, bare head of
     Lucius right. Crawford 517/5a; Sear 246; Sydenham 1185; RSC 2.
     Fine, light scratches, a couple of banker's marks. Rare! 716255

     This rare Ephesian issue of Antony was struck before his
     departure from the area and was financed from the wealth of the
     cities of Asia Minor to pay for Antony's notorious extravagances.
     M. Cocceius Nerva, a distant descendant of the Emperor Nerva, was
     one of three officials issuing this coinage, the coin offered
     here bearing his title of proquaestor pro praetore.
